  2. Oh Dave, what an incredible man you were. An amazing nurse- your patients loved you, a beautiful husband, a loving father and an incredible cook. I can’t believe you’re gone. I appreciate even more now the time we had a few years ago when you came to Cairns. Watch over Brenda, you two were made for each other. Much love. Judy xx

  3. Poppy Dave, how you will be missed! I could not have asked for a better grandfather to my daughter, your grand-daughter Sarah adored her poppy to the moon and back s did you to her.
Thankyou for so many years of laughs, and one on one chats I had with you, I will be eternally grateful.
Your love of cooking was also something I’ll remember, as per those morning breakfast cookups which involved the dreaded black pudding which you loved to stir me up with knowing It was not to my liking.
Your puns will be missed, your poppy jokes too.
We will all look out for Brenda, as we know you will always look over her.
    R.i.p dear Dave,,

  5. My poppy,

I will miss you for life, Thankyou for everything you did for me, the childhood you gave me and my siblings, the love you showed me and anyone and everyone throughout your life. I’m forever heartbroken I won’t get to see you or talk to you anymore, have anymore of your poppy hugs, your talks on the phone asking me how I am, and what’s going on in my life, the food you cook and the endless coffees you’d make,. But I will always remember these things with happiness and gratefulness rather than sadness. You were and are will always be a role model for me and someone I’ll look upto forever. And like I said previously I will make sure nan is taken good care of, I’m sure she will miss you for the rest of life more than anything ❤️ Sleep peacefully now and I’ll see you again one day

Lots of love forever,, sarah and bryson ❤️

  6. Vale Dave, a dear friend and an esteemed colleague.
We are left with so many great memories, the jokes, the laughs, the back yard parties, the camping trips, the cook ups, especially the vegetarian dishes with ” Oh, I just put a little bit of chicken in it to give it some flavour”.
    You were larger than life!
You loved and cared for Brenda so much as you did your grandchildren.
You will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

  7. Uncle David,
I wish we had more time. Here in Wales, we all wish we could’ve spoken to you, or hugged you one last time. If not for all that’s going on in the world right now, we’d be there for you, Auntie Brenda and the rest of the family during this time.
I just hope, wherever you may be, that you know you were so very deeply loved and appreciated. The best we can do right now is be there for both you and the Australian band of Taylers virtually. We’re in different timezones, on the other side of the globe, but we pay tribute to you, and remember the happy times. On behalf of the Taylers here in Wales, we love you. Have a safe journey onwards 💛

To our Australian family, we love you guys so so much. We can’t be there in person today, but I hope you feel our love and support as we sit alongside you through the service today. Timezones are tricky, but know that we’re always on the other end of the phone. Living on two separate continents will never change the fact that we are family. Sending love, strength and special Welsh cwtches –
