Past President Helimed Auxilary.
It is with sadness we say farewell to Geoff a gentleman who has made the Air Ambulance service to the East Gippsland community so much better through his tireless work with the Helimed Auxilary.
Geoff’s support and his allocation of monies raised through the Omeo Show fleece donations has contributed to a much more efficient service.
Geoff was supported in this by his wife Marlene, regulars at the show and we offer our sympathies to her and their family.
Our thoughts are with you all

November 8, 2021Ambulance Victoria Vale notice:
It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of our friend and former President of the Helimed 1 Air Ambulance Auxiliary, Mr Geoff Pollard who passed away on Friday after a long illness. Geoff has been a long-standing member of the Helimed 1 Air Ambulance Auxiliary and served in several office bearing roles for numerous years, most significantly as President from 2009 to 2018. Geoff was a passionate supporter of the work undertaken by Helimed 1 ( now HEMS 2) across Gippsland and his efforts to fund raise and support AAV operations, as well as local communities and ambulance branches throughout the region were admirable. The fundraising led by Geoff and other Auxiliary members has directly impacted the outcomes of countless patients who have received state of the art care from our Paramedics and First responders utilising equipment funded by the Helimed 1 auxiliary.
Our thoughts are with his family and colleagues at the Helimed 1 Air Ambulance Auxiliary at this difficult time. Geoff’s tireless efforts will continue to serve the Victorian community for many years to come. Vale Geoff

November 10, 2021To the Pollard family, my condolences. As a paramedic at the ambulance helicopter, Geoff was always kind and courteous in his role with the Helimed 1 Auxiliary. His support for my research projects in particular must be mentioned. Without Geoff’s support for these projects looking at the health of paramedics, we couldn’t have undertaken this important work. Thanks for everything Geoff, and all the best to the Pollard family at this challenging time.
