  4. Lui loved shooting both field and clays, fishing, being outdoors, his dogs and talking to everyone. He always had a happy disposition and was a long time member of the Morwell Field & Game. He loved talking to kids and sharing his knowledge about the great outdoors. He was a great bloke who loved conservation and spent many hours volunteering at the Heart Morass and working on projects at the Morwell Gun Club. He and his stories will be great missed around the fire at the Heart Morass. All your mates will have a toast and drink on your behalf, at the next Duck Opening. Rest in Peace Mate.

  6. Honestly today was the hardest day (17.05.21), today had to say goodbye to my Poppy Lou. To the man that taught me how to shoot, how to cook, how to protect myself, the man that taught me to listen, the man that taught how to sink a few and let loose every now and then, Say hello and give Granma a big hug, I’ll see you two on the otherside, love from your shadow Buddy. 8. So Sad to hear about Lui’s passing. He was one of my Dads (Mick McMillan) best friends and he loved him dearly. I first met Lui when I was a kid, my Dad and his mates were all keen shooters, especially duck shooters and this is where I first got to know him. As a kid I was in awe of his bush craft skills and his shooting abilities, I remember trips to Spoon Bay, Jack Smith’s Lake, the morass and other places. Lui, my Dad and all of their mates were cut from a different cloth, they were real men and real gentlemen and boy could they tell a yarn. I will always cherish the laughter and mateship around the campfire and the beers down at the LV years later when I came home on leave from the army. The world is a better place because Lui was in it. He was a great bloke. Say G’day to Dad for me Lui, I’ll see you in the big duck swamp upstairs.
