  5. So saddened to hear of Bill’s passing – we met back in 1974 and remained friends even after he went to Clayton Technical School – we would often catch up and muck about as teenagers do. I was so happy to reconnect after so many years and we only spoke about 4 weeks ago via zoom – 6 primary school friends having a natter. May you Rest In Peace Billy – you will be forever missed. Condolences to your family

  10. I first met Bill in primary school as school mates. He was the kid who always had a smile on his face and a kindness in his eyes. A smile that came from within his beautiful, gentle soul. He never lost that soothing smile through his adult years. His generosity and charitable nature is how I will always know and remember Bill. Thank you for making the world a better place. Thank you for putting a smile on the faces of so many homeless and vulnerable people through your donations. You gave total strangers hope. You saved lives. You made a huge difference in the world, just by being you. Heaven gained an Angel but your legacy lives on forever.

  17. Devastated to hear of Bill’s passing, we first met in the early 70’s back in Primary school and then we were in the same class in Grade 3. We kept in touch on FB and caught up on a job site in Longford to reminisce about the old days and to organize a catch up with the old school friends. Myself and many other Primary school friends are deeply saddened, you were a true genuine bloke who will be sadly missed. May you rest Bill

  19. Billy was a beaut’ kid … like others above, I was at Westall Primary school with Billy … beaut’ kid, kind, funny, cheeky. I remember playing chasey in the school grounds with Billy and the others like it was yesterday. Will always think of him that way. I’d only just recently reconnected with Bill through Facebook, and am grateful to the other past Westall students for making that happen, especially the most recent zoom catch up. Am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Condolences to his loved ones … he was a beaut’ kid … he’ll be sadly missed by many. RIP Billy … thank you for all the memories of happy days as kids, the games of chasey, the smiles and kindness you shared. Teresa Connelly
