How proud I was to call you My Dad.
Im so privileged that I got to love you for 51 years.
So many memories, camping trips, teaching me to drive, fishing, baseball, football, holidays, fire brigade, bbq’s, the beach, the Mra, your amazing Christmas ham.
Our road trips singing along to Dr Hook, The Beach Boys & Steve Miller Band.
Fruit tingles under our pillows when you worked night shift.
And the list goes on.

November 5, 2021Sad to say goodbye to a genuine and funy man. He taught me to make a hammer and was amused when I decided to initial it, mount it and vanish it so it stayed as good as new without using it. I hope you have your own to bang the gates down if they are a a bit stubborn up there about not producing a vacination certificate. RIP and condolences to the family. X

A diamond of a man, when they made him they threw the mould away.
Alan was the brother I never had.
We first met at the apprentice training school at the SEC at Yallourn in 1964 we became friends and we’re still good mates over 50 years later..
He took me to the YMCA in Moe and introduced me to people who are still my friend after all these years.
We did some crazy things together, went for a drive to Sydney in his old FX and ended up in Surfers Paradise, got stuck on the Sydney harbour bridge, got burnt to bits in Surfers, woke upi and the tent we were in had blown away. Apart from that we had a good holiday
Alan Long was a great guy and will be sadly missed.
REST IN PEACE AL xxxVery sad to hear of the passing of Alan. Thinking of you all xx Linda & Ian of Morwell RIP Alan
