Passed away at Latrobe Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Loved husband of 49 years to Kaye. Dearly loved father of Greg (dec), Danny and Marcelle, Brendon and Rosemary, Glenn and Emma, Lauren and Steve. Devoted Pop to Bree, Rhys, Wade, Ethan, Tully, Penny, Charlie, Georgie and Summer. Special friend to Narelle, Darren, Mikayla, Adam and Sophie.

George was a great man who taught me as a young boy how to not only play basketball but play it the right way. He taught me sportsmanship, confidence, discipline as well as how to win and lose (but mostly win). Skills that last a life time. He could inspire us kids in his gentle yet strong way and showed me Through his actions how a leader and man should act and behave.
