Born on December 16, 1947. Passed away August 20, 2021.

Passed away peacefully at Latrobe Regional Hospital Traralgon on August 20th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Aged 73 years

Dearly loved husband of Nellie.

Much loved father and father-in-law of Donna and Michael, Karen and Bill, Robert and Cathy, Jennifer and Robert.

Adored Pa to all his grandchildren.

Funeral Notice
Due to Current Covid restrictions the Funeral Service for Mr. John Wooldridge will be by invitation only.

  1. I would like to tell you a few things about my brother John, John was born in Forbes NSW the eldest of 7children . John Susan Steve Diana Sharon Mark and Peter. John had to grow up faster than Children his own age after our father decided he would like to have another life away from our mum Betty and 7 children in Harden Murrumburrah John was only 13or14 at the time John became our big brother and father figure. John loved football and played for the Harden Murrumburrah magpies he would bundle us up in the car and take us to out of town games to a little kid it was very exciting , John always made sure we all went back to Forbes for the annual Christmas lunch woman in the hot kitchen men and kids outside playing cricket or washing Uncle Joes big black car for 2bob it was always cooler washing the car, nans Christmas puddings were the best .John came to Sydney early because of work he loved trucks and drove a truck up till his retirement. John became a father early unfortunately the relationship didn’t last , they had a beautiful daughter Donna John was a single dad and together through good times and bad they stayed together, John loved his daughter and was very proud of the woman she became John was equally proud of his granddaughters Jessica and Caitlyn. When Nel and John married we were very happy for them , Nel has been a wonderful sister-in-law always with a ready smile, on the few occasions they came to Sydney they stayed with us at Brighton.we are sorry we never got to me John and Nells extended family from the way they talked you are all loverly and thoughtful that has been shown in the last few days thank you Karen for all your compassion and help we are truly sorry we could not be there as well. John’s legacy will live on in his Children and Grandchildren. We will miss John so very much .   4. I wish I would have had the chance to say my last good byes and let you know how much you were truly loved my dearest brother. I’m honoured to have had you as our older brother and the memories will last a lifetime. You were someone special such a joy to know.No one will ever be able to take that away from us. I know you will be up there watching over us all. No words can describe how I feel and how much you will be missed. Until we meet again I love you and you will always be in our hearts.
