  6. I have incredibly fond memories of travelling to Confusion Rally at Licola and popping in for a chat or two! I have to say the funniest time was Ray & yourself playing hookie from the store to come with Ched, Nic & I to check out Terry’s property for our Rally. Remember the cows stampeding down the hill and we had to make a bolt to close the gate? It was hilarious! You always greeted us with a big smile & hug. We miss you gorgeous lady! Thinking of you Ray, Shelley, Craig, Carli, Trav & the boys. Much love Chez & Ched xxx

  8. We have many fond memories of Mary. We brought our caravan at Licola shortly after Ray & Mary took ownership of the Licola caravan park and we as a family established a very strong bond with all of the Winter family.
Many nights were spent around the fire with a beer or two and of course Mary enjoying a whiskey or a UDL of her choice.
We always looked forward to those extra days at the end of a long weekend and everybody had packed up and gone home and our tradition became to have a few cold ones out the front of the shop – just the four of us.
Our group loved music – but LOUD music so after enjoying a few quiet drinks over a period of a day of course the music eventually got louder and poor Mary would leave her home after a busy day in the shop to tell us to turn the music down, sorry Mary x
Our kids Lachy & May always loved going to Mary’s shop – sorry Ray it was never your shop according to our kids it will always be Mary’s shop!
They would choose an icecream or lolly of some sort, Mary was always very generous.
Ray would quite often sneak around to our caravan during the day when we were at Licola, so it was a regular thing to hear Mary calling his name on the radio because someone wanted fuel or the shop was busy and of course Ray pretended the radio was turned off while having a sneaky beer with us.
Mary you will be greatly missed, always a generous and caring person and a great family friendship was formed through all of the fun times that we had at the caravan park and after.
    RIP Mary
