  3. I loved our Christmases on the farm as we were growing up. I learned to drive in the farm ute! Uncle Jack & Auntie Bett were always so warm and welcoming. Such an incredible guy – Order of Australia. President of the Country Party. Latrobe Valley Commissioner and Mayor of Morwell many times. A wonderful memory of seeing him at St Vincents hospital on our last visit to Australia in Feb 2019. Still had the fast wit and sharp mind. RIP. Phil Carter London UK

My Mum (Pat Lawless) has great memories of the neighbours across the river and of Jack’s involvement in the community.
