  6. Johnno, we’ve spent many nights together playing pool and solving the world’s problems one drink at a time. I’ll miss that immensely. My sincerest condolences to Gloria and the entire extended Van de Geer clan. John was one of a kind and I hope he’s not stuck talking to someone on his way up to the great pool hall in the sky cos it’ll take him a week to get there.

    You’ll be missed mate.

  8. Condolences to you Gloria and family. John was a great friend and neighbour to us in Walkerville. He always cut a fine figure in his boiler suit and entertained us with lots of laughs and chats over the fence. Such good memories – I will never forget him playing air guitar and singing Black Sabbath with our young nephew, both had it word for word. Rest in peace mate.

  11. It’s 1971 the first time I see John. He looks like he escaped a dutch golden age oil painting. Were walking up a staircase he’s spraying water from a kettle on the people walking up. Look at the rainbows he shouts excitedly.
