Tributes
  1. Dad, you were a father who we thought would always be there. Strong and robust, the supporting pillar of our family. As a father you were strict but fair. Worked hard all your life to support Mum and us five kids. So many memories, from camping, fishing, holidays Woods & Reeves and hay carting. As Grandfather and Great Grandfather, you excelled, they all loved you. You were poppy Lionel, and all the kids knew it. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest In Peace Dad.
    Love Mick & Nui

  16. Lionel, we met several years ago as a group of corers who were looking after their wives..
We all had the commonality and shared concerns about a loved one who was unwell.
Our group , was formed with the help of LCH..
It provided an hour or more each week to share and relax with other men in a similar situation.
Your good hum our and sense of fun helped lighten our day, and of course we looked forward to the next Thursday gathering..
On the occasion’s that my wife Isabell came with me you always made her feel welcome. and included.
You are going to be missed.
Thank you for your friendship Lionel.
