Our thoughts are with Maureen, Anita, Martin and Warren. A special comment to Warren who has individually responded to Geoff and Maureen’s difficult situationDear Geoff,
My mind knows that you
Are in a better place,
Where there is no pain.
You are at peace.
I understand that,
I just wish I could explain that
To my heart.Love Orlanda

We are so proud to know you since many years! We met us in Munich and it was wonderful to have fine contact with you and Maureen all over the years, although the great distance! You have told (mailed) us so many interest things about Australia, it was always pleasant to hear from you and Maureen, thank you so much! Now, sleep in silent! – Our thoughts are by you Maureen and your whole family!
Christine, Gerd and Michaela from MunichGeoff and his family made many happy times for me – many meals and cups of tea shared and enjoyed together. I was always welcome as Anita’s friend, as a child and for many years after. Geoff knew so much – from natural things to highly technical. And there was a deep love of God behind this. Thanks for sharing those times with me. A life is made of many moments, and those moments were special.
November 14, 2020To Warren and Orlanda
Deepest sympathy on the passing of your Father Geoff and Father-in-law. Please know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time.
November 16, 2020Rest in peace grandpa. You will be missed.
November 16, 2020So Sorry to hear of Uncle Geoff’s passing. I looked up to him as a role model who helped me develop a sense of curiosity and an Engineering mindset. Jackie, Sonja, Eric, and I still fondly remember visiting from America some years back and having a lovely lunch.
November 17, 2020Dad, thank you for teaching me so many things, including:
November 17, 2020
• The wonderful smell of messmate and peppermint (closely followed by snowgum in the rain).
• Not everybody can make a grey snowman.
• It’s warmer in the water than out, when sailing on Hazelwood Pondage.
• Do it with flair if you can – but just do it.
• Look to the stars (even if you’ve left your telescope inside).
• Don’t just ask, find out for yourself. Be curious.
• “Listen” and “do” doesn’t only apply to music. Be open to the new.
• Working hard and smart can get you places.
• Take time to stop and listen to the world. You don’t have to run to keep up.
I will do my best to apply these lessons – and the other ones – to my life. Thank you for everything Dad.We remember with fondness our Methodist days in the Church choir, years of singing and Geoff’s attention to detail. Our loving sympathy to Maureen and family at this time. Betty and Alec Wood
