  8. Dear Grandad,
I don’t really know what to say. I’ve been listening to recordings of you speaking I have over the last few years. You lived an incredible life. Your strength, determination and persistence are qualities I hope always show true in me. I will miss visiting you and going to have lunch or dinner and hearing your stories. I only ever wanted to make you proud. I hope you feel that way. It was only two months ago you were fixing my watch at your dinner table. Time. Thanks so much for everything. Thanks for making me believe in family and the idea of family and caring for and looking after your family. Thanks for every opportunity you have given us all. You were a really inspiring and amazing person. I hope you are at peace. Love Jaqui.
