We had many precious times together, attending live theatre shows in Melbourne, dinners at various restaurants around Gippsland and long chats around the kitchen table at our homes. RIP Roger,

I know the last couple of year have been a health battle, and even during this time, you’ve shown humility in always taking interest in the welfare of others.

As a past custodian of Morwell Football Netball Club, I know you’ve always taken an active interest in the position of the club, both on the field, but also in the off field financial position; as you did the League; and your absence at this years recent Annual Meeting was noted – pleasingly another sound year off the park you’ll be pleased to know!

Unfortnately, I’ll be unable to get there on Friday with Moe Races, however I hope the day goes well remembering Roger and what a kind caring sole he was in the community, and I am sure also to his immediate family.

At rest now, and we’ll continue doing our best to keep the club heading in the right direction of and on the field!

Roger was a true gentleman whom I enjoyed many conversations with him. He fought his battle all the way and not once did he ever complain. It was a great pleasure to have known Roger and to have been one of his carers.
