Mum, you mean the world to us, you were always giving of your time and love and nothing was too much for you. Thank you for all your support of our children and the many times you babysat, went to netball, footy and school sports. We hope you have found Dad and are watching us from above.  Always in our hearts and thoughts, love Dot and Rick.

Our Nan, you are going to be missed so much. Thankyou for giving us your total unconditional love and support. So many childhood memories to reflect on (including your patience with trying to teach me to knit and sew) I am grateful that my own family were able to spend time with you and experience your cheeky ways. Beautiful Nan, You were one of our favourite people in the entire world and we can not comprehend how we’ll not see you every week with your sneaky treats and squishy cuddles. Nan / Nanna, we are going to miss you so much.  Your family was the most important thing to you and you were so loved.  My childhood memories with you were very happy (especially when you took me down to Windy Hill, which introduced me to my love of footy).  Rain, hail or shine you were at every footy game for the boys, I loved sitting with you every Sunday and will miss having you yelling out to the boys cheering them on.  We will always hold a special place for your beloved Bombers.  Michelle, Aaron, Tarquin and Taite

  8. When we arrived here in Traralgon the first thing we wanted to do is meet Ida.
We had heard so many beautiful stories about her from Anna my daughter and Jason my son in law that we couldn’t wait to meet her. It was a hard task to catch her though as she was always on the go and in Melbourne supporting her beloved Bombers! Eventually when we met it was a lovely encounter, like we had known each other all along despite mine and Leo’s broken English. The language barrier made no difference.
Undoubtedly, with her soft spoken voice and her bright smile without even mentioning her family dinners, knitting clothes for the grandchildren, making beanies for Leo to keep his head warm in winter I honestly believe this was her legacy uniting the family and friends without exceptions that for us is to be the rock of the family. She will be incredibly missed. Leo, Milka and Gabriel Fajardo

  10. Mrs Scott/ida/Scotty, our family remember you so very fondly. You were a great friend to mum and dad (Elaine and Keith) and my surrogate grandma and baby sister. Such a kind and caring lady who was always up for a chat and a cuppa. Your regular Thursday shopping dates with mum and morning tea at Hollies are some of the fondest memories shared by us all. I can still recall sitting in your kitchen before and after school and watching you sew and cook. We would ride our bikes to the local milk bars during school holidays and design and make dolls clothes . Thank you for being such a wonderful friend to our family and more especially- my surrogate grandma. Much love to Dot, Joy, Steve, Barry and families. Toni Callander (née Blake)

  14. Mrs Scott (Ida), our families have been friends since the Pax Hill days when the boys were playing footy. You and mum spent time working in the canteen, washing jumpers and all sorts of other things that mums do.

You and mum then had a shared love of the the Bombers and the Gippsland supporters group and attending many footy games together travelling on the bus.

In later years when mum moved into O’Mara House you always used to meet her on a Monday to have a chat and share a drink and cake.

We are all saddened to hear of your passing but we are all the better for having known you over so many years and for the friendship you and mum shared.

Our love goes out to all the family.
