ROBERTS, Hildegard (Hilda)

Born on July 31st, 1939. Passed away November 22nd, 2025.

Peacefully at Latrobe Regional Health with family by her side, aged 86 years old.

Loving Mother of Kevin, Linda, Luke and their partners.

Adored Nan and Mima of Grandkids, Jason (dec), Andrew, Scott, Ben, Sara, Ashlea, Lauren and Kelsey.

And Great Grandkids, Daniel, Charlotte, Leo, Oliver, Walter, Remy, Saige, Maggie, Fletcher, Kiara, Beau, Violet, Ivy and Jayde.

Loving sister of Ingrid, Werner (dec), Christa (dec), Nina and Margaret.

 

                        You worked so hard for those you loved,

                                     you always did your best,

                            you fought until you could no more,

                                      and now you are at rest. 

                                           Sadly missed.

  2. Our dear Hildegard, you have been a long time friend and a part of our family since Bubby and I met back in 1969. I have so many memories of the days out at the farm, then the days and fun at the motel. Mum and dad loved you so much. Your slippers are also loved and many of our American friends have them. You had an infectious laugh.
    It was great that we got to spend time with you since mum has been back. I am going to miss you.

  6. Dear Hilda and her slippers gave our family and friends so much joy over the years. Such a positive and wonderful lady and dear friend. Her slippers travelled the world, from Antarctica to England and many places in between. Slippers were shared with so many people as a “Thank You”, as a way to say, “I am thinking of you”. Due to Hilda, those slippers and the part of her that she knitted in to them felt like sunshine. We will always remember Hilda with love.

    The best Hitler’s reject I ever met.
    Funny and forward, honest and caring, and always available, for a cuppa and a chat, a hand with the kids, you always had “surprises” for them all, best Op shopper and volunteer, you played some great tunes from the jukebox or on the radio, you made warm slippers for our feet, handed out savouries or a sweet treat to eat…
    Thanks for the time the laughs the tears and all of the wonderful memories created over 38 years.
