  2. So sorry to hear the passing of Danny. Always kind, helpful, energetic, fun, and funny and always with that twinkle in his eyes and that infectious and every present smile.

He came, he saw, he made a difference. The world is a better place as a result. Thank you Danny. A man full of giving.

  3. Words can not express how sad I am right now over the loss of your beautiful Dan. I am shattered that I will not be able to attend the Memorial next week as I will be out of the state.
Dan was my childhood bestie, and I spent so much time with the Riddle family growing up in Moe.
Danny you were funny, kind and a fantastic friend.
Jumping on my bike and flying around the corner to hang out at your place was always great fun. Even when you hogged the Atari and wouldn’t let me have a go. You would then find me drinking cordial and having biscuits with your mum and chatting in the Kitchen. This is also a fond memory.
Sending much love to Melissa, Betty, Cherie and Dale and extended family and friends.
This loss hurts my heart but has brought back so many memories which will stay with me forever.
    RIP Danny

  4. A very dear friend, early in my life, and one that shaped, many, many memories, discussions and much recall over time.
Danny, “Daniel son” (Our joke) from Karate Kid, was a mate throughout Primary and Secondary school, the Moe High School Musicals, working at KMART and Various the basketball teams at local and Squad levels. Memories come flooding back to us playing ATARI video games, watching “Any which way but loose” on a BETAmax video player, catching Yabbies at Edward Hunter and of course his mum Betty calling us in to come home. It was the 80’s, BMX’s, freedom and having fun.. these are the many memories of Danny, his wicked smile, inviting family and a glimpse to his early life that I was lucky to share. Passing on my sincere condolences to all of the family members in the remembrance of my earliest friend and mate Danny Riddle. Michael Rea (Rea Family).

  5. Saddened to hear of the passing of Danny – a funny, charming bloke and good (View St) neighbour.

Some collective memories that our family shared when recently discussing Danny: when he found out one of us had a birthday, he went home and baked a cake and brought it over. My brother (who was a kid back then) remembering the “kind and friendly” man who used to give him car posters from his work. And my favourite story – me almost getting clocked over the head with a torch when my faulty car alarm went off at midnight and Danny came racing over to fend off the suspected intruder…because that’s just what good neighbours do.

    Memories to cherish.

Sincerest condolences to Danny’s family, including Benjamin and Jaryd who I recall fondly as gorgeous little boys chatting to us over the fence.

  6. Fond memories of Danny’s care ,compassion & above & beyond assistance as my late husband & I purchased a new Car in 2002 (still driving it).
    Danny became a great friend.
So so sorry to read of his passing at such a young age. I never met his family, however my thoughts are
With them at this very sad time.

  7. Our family is sad and shocked to hear of Danny’s passing. He was always the funny, vibrant, and friendly neighbour while we lived on View Street.

We shared many wonderful memories together as a neighbourhood, memories my family has already fondly recalled. One such memory is the summer BBQ Danny hosted at his house, inviting the street to gather. His efforts to foster a sense of community were always evident.

Even after we all moved on from View Street, I still vividly remember Danny’s friendly and accommodating nature whenever our paths crossed. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Danny as a neighbour during my time in our family home on View Street.

My thoughts are with Danny’s family during this difficult time, including Benjamin and Jaryd, whom we watched grow from babies to children. They were always adorable and a joy to see and talk with.

Danny’s legacy of kindness and community will forever inspire us.

  10. What a beautiful send off to a real gentleman..
We remember the young years of his life growing up next door. His happy go lucky attitude and smile. The mischievous things the kids would get up to. All sorts of shenanigans that bonded great. Friendships
