The Latrobe Regional Health Community Champions volunteer program is deeply saddened by Kevin’s passing. Kev wasn’t just a helping hand to visitors, staff and patients, but a beacon of enthusiasm and joyful spirit.

Kevin gave so much of himself to his Concierge role and his kindness and energy left a lasting impression.
The Champions program will miss Kev’s humour, prowess at selling raffle tickets and regular updates of how many steps he had done in his shift.
Our thoughts are with the Polanske family in their time of sorrow.
Vale Kevin.Kevin was a wonderful man, he moved into Traralgon Aged Care and welcomed with open arms. He was always ready for a chat and always with a smile. We will miss him.our condolences to the Polanski family.
July 17, 2025Thoughts are either all if Kevin’s family at this sad time. Kevin was a truly wonderful caring man. He had a heart of gold. You will be sadly missed.
July 17, 2025I remember Kevin joining what was then a brand-new volunteer team as LRH opened its first expansion. Looking to give Pat some space, he found a new group of people who warmly welcomed his enthusiasm. I was deemed redundant from the volunteer program but its always wonderful to see the joy that volunteering brings to people.

He spoke fondly of his family and the joy he got from the hugs when he could catch up and see them.
My thoughts go out to his family at this time.I have wonderful memories volunteering with Kev at LRH. always joking around and laughing, we earned the name Laurel and Hardy, He was such a wonderful man, so kind and caring, always willing to help, he put a smile on everyone’s dial who walked through the door, he made everyone feel welcome and at ease, he will be sadly missed, My condolences to the Polanske Family, my thoughts are with you all, Rest easy Kev xx Mary Surowka

So glad our lives crossed paths again over the last few years I will miss our cheeky chats in the pharmacy and more recently having the pleasure of cutting your gorgeous locks :)
Lots of love to all of your family xxWhat a bright, witty, engaging man Kevin was. He knew how to communicate effectively with all age groups. His hearty laugh that followed one of his story telling jokes will live with me forever. Bearing witness to how proud he was of his three sons was a sight to behold. He adored his grandkids never taking for granted the relationships he had with them. Rest in peace you precious man, what a hug you will receive from your magnificent wife. Love, to each and every family member. Tania Thorman xx
July 21, 2025Kevin was a dearly loved member of our LRH family and his passing has sadden all who knew him. I had the privilege of being able to call Kevin my friend and always listened out for his loud unique friendly laugh and banter whenever I walked the corridors at the hospital. Whether he be guiding people around or blocking people at the cafe to buy a raffle ticket before entering he was loved by everyone, I will fondly remember our last catch up. You always brighten my day and I will miss you deeply. My deepest sympathy to Kevin’s sons, their partners, and his beloved grandchildren, all of whom he spoke about so fondly. With much love from my family to yours . Narelle Wilkins
July 22, 2025Oh Kev! What can I say. I am disappointed that it took 33 years for a paths to cross, you were larger the life and so selfless, I am so grateful that they finally did and it gave me the absolute privilege of being able to get to know you, and hear the stories from your life. The joy you brought to LRH was infectious. I appreciate your care, compassion and kindness.
Thank you for being you, Kev. You truly were one of a kind.

July 22, 2025So sad to hear of Kevin’s passing and my sincere condolences to David, Darren and Brett.
However, to me, this is not the end of Kev. He will live in my memories for as long as I live because of the great team he, Leon Lisson and I formed at the glorious days at Agfa. We all worked hard for Agfa but were able to mix that with wonderful mateship and just good fun.

We have lovely memories of times spent with him and Pat.
Vale Kevin.
Diane and NorbertWhat a beautiful celebration and send off for Kev – your beautiful Dad, Father-in-Law, Grandpa & Great Grandpa. Well done team Polanske – am sure Kev would have been up above feeling beyond proud of you all, having a laugh about your stories and dancing to the music. What an absolute legend… so full of life, light, love, laughter and just so incredibly invested in his family… such an inspiration. I know how deeply he will be missed, but I know that his love and legacy will always continue on through your lives. My most sincere condolences to you all and I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there today in person to give you all hugs. Sending tonnes of love though. And extra tonnes of love of course to Kev… time to rest in peace with your beautiful Pat. xoxoxoxoxo
