October 24, 2026Dear Ross,
Some people come into our lives and become so much more than friends. They become family, and that is exactly what you have always been to Dad.
From a young age, when life didn’t always give Dad the family and sense of belonging every child deserves, you were there. Dad spent nights sleeping on your bedroom floor, and somewhere along the way, you became so much more than a mate. You became his family, his safe place, and a lifelong part of his heart.
The bond you shared is something truly special, and no words could ever fully express what you have meant to Dad throughout his life. The memories, the years, and the friendship you shared will forever hold a place that nobody else could ever fill.
On behalf of Dad and our whole family, thank you, Ross, for being the person you were to him and for giving him a bond that has stood the test of time. Some connections go far beyond blood, and yours is a beautiful reminder that family isn’t always who you’re born to — it’s who stands beside you and stays in your heart forever.
You will always be a part of our family, Ross, and you will never be forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Ross. Thank you for being Dad’s family when he needed it most.
With love and deepest sympathy,

ALEX &LYNDATo my brother, blood doesn’t define family, true friendship, being there when needed and always having the right words to say, does make you family. I met you in grade 1 in Alexandra and we stayed close ever since. To say I am heart broken is an understatement. Gone but never forgotten brother.
