Cousin Carol was a beautiful person and much loved by everyone she touched. My mother, Auntie Dorrie who passed recently, and always talked glowingly about Carol, would keep us informed, as we were growing up about Carol and her incredible sporting feats. Visiting Carol, Rob and the boys in Newborough was another treat as she was an incredibly caring mother and family person. More recently, seeing Carol with Rob on trips to England and her warm beaming smile – it will stay with me forever.

In my teens I played netball against Carol – she played for Newborough, me for Yallourn. I remember her skill, her speed (such long legs), her fairness and of course her radiant smile.
