Cherished memories.Deepest condolences to all the family. Maribeth was a significant member of the veterinary industry. She was a wealth of knowledge and so many of us were fortunate enough to have developed long lasting friendships with her. As well as her love for her dogs and her involvement with the dog club and her tracking events. May she rest in peace.

January 15, 2026I am broken hearted to hear of the passing of one of the kindest, sweetest, biggest hearted people I’ve ever met. Sleep tight, Maribeth. You were – are – so loved.
January 15, 2026Dr Maribeth Murphy was a truly special person who touched so many lives. As a judge, mentor and friend, she was always generous with her time, encouragement and kindness. She had a rare ability to put people at ease, to make them feel supported and valued, and she never hesitated to go out of her way to help others.
Her love for her dogs was evident in everything she did, and her warmth extended far beyond the ring. Maribeth’s generosity was part of who she was — sharing eggs, blueberries and vegetables with friends and neighbours, welcoming people with her baking, and offering kindness without ever expecting anything in return.
She will be remembered not only for her knowledge and dedication, but for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the genuine care she showed to everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love for animals, and quiet acts of goodness that will not be forgotten.
She will be deeply missed.

January 16, 2026Maribeth was such a lovely, lovely vet. She was kind, and compassionate and truly understood how important our Meggsy was to us. She helped us out in a time when we needed care for our cat. She honestly was a wonderful lady. I always wondered where she ended up as she left the vet centre where she was our cat’s vet and we never came across her again. Very sad to hear she has passed away.

January 16, 2026Such a lovely person. I am forever in her debt for helping deliver our precious AI babies back in 2015. A skilled veterinary surgeon, Maribeth had been at a tracking trial since 2.30 am and she attended the surgery at 8.30 pm to assist a very young vet in her first CSection. Apart from this, Maribeth was a kind, compassionate woman who was always there to help in any way she could. Sincere condolences to her family. RIP my friend xxx 🌹
January 16, 2026I was saddened to hear of Maribeth’s passing. Although I didn’t know her closely, I had the privilege of knowing her through Dog Sports, where she was always a wonderful presence. I was fortunate to be judged by her and to lay tracks for her dachshunds, and I remember her as kind, encouraging, and deeply dedicated to her dogs.
Maribeth’s love for the sport and for her dogs was evident, and she will be fondly remembered by those of us who shared even small moments with her along the way. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who loved her.

January 20, 2026Maribeth was a distinguished judge, but she was an even more remarkable human being. Her life was defined by a profound love and compassion for dogs that touched everything she did, reflecting a soul truly dedicated to our four-legged companions. While her expertise in the ring was undeniable, it was her character, her integrity, and her genuine heart that left the most lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
To compete under Maribeth was to feel seen and supported; she had a rare gift for putting exhibitors at ease with her natural warmth and encouragement. She approached every assignment with a kindness that turned a competition into a community, leaving us all better for having known her. We have truly lost a great person, and while the rings will feel emptier without her, her legacy of grace will never be forgotten. It was only a few weeks ago I competed under Maribeth, we joked we laughed and that was the last time I saw her. Sometimes you never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Our thoughts are with Tom, Chris, Laurie and families. Berni and Chris 💔
January 21, 2026Maribeth, I was privileged to be your colleague at the Animal Clinic. I was the Anne to your Beth which caused no end of confusion! We shared a love of musicals, high teas and lunches. You were always punctual! Mostly we shared a love of gardening.
I will be forever grateful for our friendship and cherish the memories. My condolences to Laurie and the Murphy family. Rest easy my friend, xx
January 22, 2026Oh Maribeth. I was so sad to hear of your passing. You were my mentor when I was straight out of vet school. I loved working with you and learned so much. I loved your empathy and sense of humour. Still have the t-shirt you gave me that says “I perform castrations for a living”. I actually still have everything you gave me. You are an incredible person that will be greatly missed. Sending love and strength to your family and friends 💔
