  3. It was never going to be easy saying goodbye to you Dad.

The last few months have been hard and l hated what dementia was taking from us.

It was only in the last week l realised l had to thank dementia for the time l got to spend with you. We had so many fun times, coffees with the dogs, endless walks, dad & daughter lunches with Georgie & Uncle Des, manicures and table tennis.

Dementia taught me patience, compassion, and how deeply connection can exist beyond words.

Holding your hand, sharing a laugh over something simple, feeling love in ways that didn’t need explanation. Those moments don’t erase the pain, but they remind me that even in the darkest times, love still finds a way through.

Hope you are reunited with your much loved Tilly and we will sing Waltzing Matilda again one day ❤️ 😘
