  4. Ron was a highly regarded Foundation and LIfe Member of Yinnar Bowls Club. Throughout his long and illustrious bowling career he achieved many honours at Club, District & State level but Ron was modest and would only say he won too many trophies to remember. Despite health issues in latter years, Ron didn’t complain and was still bowling in our highest division Saturday Pennant team last season . Ron will be missed by the Yinnar and broader bowling community.

  5. As a new bowler I loved bowling with Ron. Despite being an extremely accomplished bowler himself, he was unfailingly encouraging and supportive of me and gave simple and helpful feedback. I greatly admired his sunny disposition and stoicism in the face of adversity. I am sad that I won’t get to bowl with him again but will cherish the memory of having had the opportunity to do so.

    Leanne Emond August 14, 2020
  6. When I first joined the Yinnar Bowls, it was Ron who always came up to me and said hello. He always had a smile on his face and was happy to see me. I’m going to miss those greetings and smiles. And the next stop on Ron’s journey will be the better for it. Nicole and my sympathies go out to Ron’s family. X

We have treasured memories of a holiday together in N.Z. and of participating in many many team bowling competitions. Ron was always encouraging and friendly who taught me so much.
