From your humblest beginnings you built a family and a home. Treated your wife as a queen, helped navigate the lives of 3 sometimes misguided children. You were our beacon of light and love, of duty and respect. As a father you were one of the good ones. Patient and ever hopeful, and always there, A rock, a foundation. You are loved. I remember Ron as a good neighbour and friend to my parents and myself. Years later I was always happy to meet him and stop for a chat, always a friendly and good man.

To Christine and Family, It is said time will help heal the pain of losing a loved one. Like Diane Ron went through a lot of years of suffering we only hope they have caught up with each other and are now relaxing in peace and telling lots of stories.

I went to school – Yallourn Technical College – with Ron. As teenagers we used to catch up and have a smoke together. I remember one time he was given money to get a haircut after school. Instead he had Robert Cook cut it so as to keep the money. Robert completely butchered it, as a result Ron had to go to the barbers and ended up with a crew cut which was not very fashionable in the 60’s. I have not seen Ron for around 50 years and was shocked to see he had passed on. My condolences to all his family. Bruce Andrews
