MERCER, John Raymond
Afterwards we hope you can all attend a further celebration for John at the social rooms located at the top oval at Walter J Tuck Reserve for some food & drinks put on by the Mirboo North Cricket Club.
PLEASE NOTE: As it's going to be hot, we want everyone to be comfortable and as it is a celebration of John's life, we hope all come in casual attire (shorts recommended and flat shoes for the ladies)
Pam and the family would like to thank everyone for all the kind words and all the touching tributes.
RIP John. I am going to miss you. It was an honour and privilege to have spent Mondays with you. You were a truly a special man and my condolences go to Pam and your family. Rest easy John. 💔😢

Meryl Pyle..My earliest memory of John is from the time he was playing football as a “big” high school boy on the primary school oval (I was in primary school). Little did I know that we would play football and cricket together for Mirboo North over the next few years. I remember him taking a slips catch off my bowling at Yinnar one day and I remember us batting together at Mirboo North when we scored over 400 in a day. John made one of his many centuries that day. He was and will always be a strong memory for me to hold on to. While I moved around the states for work he was always a strong Mirboo North identity and I was pleased to meet up with him again several times over the last few years. Always pleasant, always willing to have a chat and always a staunch Mirboo North man. Thanks for the memories, John. May you rest in peace.
