  3. My Nana, My Birthday Twin, My Friend.
15th of August won’t be the same. Sharing my birthday with my grandmother was the best birthday gift ever.
I remember when I was young, I would often ask you to tell me the story of August 15th 1984. You said your daughter gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Jessica, and it was the best birthday you ever had. I’ll miss you, Nana. Your trifle, your stories (particularly the ones you told when we were going through your many photo albums), your singing and your vegetable soup – and how you always made sure I had a bowl at The Morwell Club, because it was included in the lunch meal.
I’ll always love and miss you, Nana – but I’m so happy for you to be reunited with your beloved husband (Pop) and your daughter (Aunty) Anne, and all those dear to you who went before you.
Love from your granddaughter, Jess xo

  6. Our dear Nanna. We were so lucky to have you stay with us for so long. Such a strong woman that I will always look up to. You spoke your mind, told us what you thought, but loved us all unconditionally.
I remember all the fun times in Butters Street, our family get togethers each weekend and you teaching me to write cursive, fancy ‘J’s’. Lots of card games all while Pop listened to his race on the wireless. Many special memories I will treasure forever. Love from Jane, Daniel and the wee bairns, Chloe & Emma xoxo
