  23. My Grandad was the fastest man around town in his big red van.

I wonder if grandad had told you story of how he use to make pushbikes or when he was a tram driver in Melbourne or when he moved to Morwell and worked for the SEC. I think we have all heard then before, maybe?few more times than once.

Everyone knew when grandad was coming around make sure to get the bottle of Grants ready. Grandy loved his Grants.

He would always say “Thank your mother for the rabbits.” What rabbits? My mum didn’t have rabbits… A funny saying for a man with such a big sense of humour.

Meals on wheels is done… Better stop and see Garry at Gastronomy.

You will alway be remembered for your fighting spirit, happy attitude on the way things were no matter how bad they looked.

I will miss you Grandad. The pain is over and you will always live on through us all as your family and friends.

  39. I was sad to hear about the death of our Uncle Val and I hope now that he is at peace. I have fond memories of his visits to 10 Ardagh and him teaching us the Australian Card Game. His memory lives on with that card game, which has travelled onwards from Ireland and I played it only the other day with a family in France. Now that’s some legacy!! Rest in Peace Val.
