  8. The memory I treasure most is the long trip we took in his car—just the four of us—when he proudly showed us a block of land he had bought. It was a small moment in time, but it stayed with me for years and always will. He shared laughter and stories that left a lasting impression.

Michel was our favourite uncle to me and my brothers, a father to others, a husband, a brother, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. Despite his flaws—like all of us—he will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality that shaped his life. He was always kind to me in private when other turned away, and for that I will always be grateful.

    I will always love you.
