At Rest

There’s a gift in this world that is precious and rare;

That’s a love that a husband and wife share.

We shared that love, you and I

From the day you were born to the day that you died.

It broke my heart to lose you, but you never went alone,

For part of me went with you the day God called you home.

When all my chores on earth are through,

I’m coming up there to be with you.

Love you so much. Rest In Peace

A very special dad and pop. Deep in our hearts you will always stay.

Loved and remembered every day, your memory we will treasure.

If tears could build a stairway and memories build a lane;

I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

A beautiful life has come to an end, so treasure him Lord in your garden of rest;

for while on earth, he was the best.

Love You So Much.

Cheryl, Pete, Crystal, Angus and Brandon

Tributes
  1. When I ran into the three of you last Wednesday little did I know that within a week Cyril would cease to walk amongst us! He put up such a long and brave fight but, sad to say, even a fighter can only fight until the body says “it’s now time to rest”! To Enid, Cheryl, Pete and families, we send our sincere sympathies to you all, not only on the loss of Cyril, but for the difficult times you’ve had to cope with throughout his illness. Love and big hugs and may he now Rest In Peace! 💞🌹

  11. Dear Mrs Hibbert and my extended Hibbo family…. Bloody hell what can I say… Never thought Mr Hibbert would leave us he was like a dad to me and a great mate. I would do anything for that old bugger… and I did from selling badges to going on lunch dates with him. Always a smile on his face and a cheery word. You always called me Griff and not often did I hear my name Ann come outa your mouth! Our girls loved him when they worked at the RSL. They called you Cyril and I called you Mr Hibbert!
    Rest now Mr Hibbert you deserve it mate. Job well done!

  12. Cyril was always a highlight in my clinic. I recall a recent chat where Cyril was telling me about a family get-together where he was able to see his loved ones all in one spot. He told me how proud he was of everyone, and what he and Enid had built together.

    Cyril had much to be proud of, from his woodwork, his family and his work with the RSL.

    Condolences to his family and friends on this day of reflection.

  15. I first met Cyril at the SEC Test Lab (Glass House) at Yallourn about 1976.
    He was kind and helpful in my career and helped shaped my future.
    We would cross paths over the years and I was saddened to hear that he was unwell.
    I learned of his passing only this week.
    My condolences go to Enid and the Hibbert family.
