  10. Dear Lozza, your last innings was a tough one, no doubt you were pleased when the umpire called you ‘out’. Time to rest, shuffle off this mortal coil.
Remembering our best fun times in Yallourn with the Holts and the Linnakers, Saturday nights dancing and singing to Neil Diamond and enjoying a salubrious glass or 2.
You’ve been a devoted dad to our daughter Chrissi and Kathy and our grandchildren, Daniel, Maya and Sam. Always the joker and teller of old tales (again) “said the actress to the bishop”.
    Rest in peace Lawry.

  13. Goodbye Laurie,
You suffered a great deal, especially in the last few years.
I will always remember your deep ongoing care and concern for the welfare of our stepsons, Darren, Andrew and Jason. You continued to show an interest in their lives and would drive non stop from Melbourne to Lismore to be not only with Christine, but with her brothers. My young daughter, Jenieka, could never understand why you did not pick her up as well.
Your acceptance of me and the amicable relationship which we had, was very much a reflection of your generosity of spirit. An example was your invitation to Anne and I to share in your 60th birthday cruise. This was very much appreciated.
Dear Chrissy, Kathy, Darren, Andrew, Jason and grandchildren, I’m sorry Laurie has gone, but glad his suffering is over.

  15. Dear Chrissi, Kathy, Daniel, Maya & Sam
Sharing in your sadness as you farewell Lawrie, your loving Dad and Grandfather.
When encountering my cousin Lawrie he always had a big, open smile of welcome; he was a person who laughed easily. Growing up, he spent a lot of happy years in Morwell among many uncles and aunts and a myriad of cousins and he loved sharing reminiscences from those days. He had a very good memory for the majority of his life.
Lawrie was a hard worker who dearly loved his children. To his immediate family, I pray you feel surrounded by love from his many cousins and friends who can’t be in Morwell with you today.

My last memory I’ll always cherish, we went to theatre to watch ‘War Horse’, you were sentimental & charmed all around us. Rest easy pop, I’ll miss your as mum coined them ‘Laurisms’. xx Love Holly
