Deepest sympathy to all of Gordon’s children. Those who taught me and those I went to school with remembering Michelle, Nick, Julie Frances and Monica. What a wonderful innings your dad had. Now reunited with your dearest mum. Kindest regards. Barbara and Austin Gapper (new Cukier)
August 4, 2026Gordon was a father to my long and dearest friend Nick and in some way a father figure to me. He was to me what a father should be. A shepherd to his children and a strong and clear headed man. He too was a very dear friend to my mother and father all those years ago. I have many great memories of Gordon. He was a man not to be messed with!!!.

Your mum & dad were well known and respected within the Morwell & especially the Sacred Heart Communities. Our parents always spoke so highly of your parents, and the loss of your mum impacted and saddened so many. Your dad continued to keep in touch with so many in Morwell after his shift to Queensland and it is wonderful to know he lived into his 100’s. May you all treasure all your terrific memories and smile that mum and dad are finally reunited.

Fond memories.Gordon Green, oh what a man he was in every way.
Gordon had an extraordinary persona of natural likeness with a gentle voice and eyes that said it all.
I shall never forget his presence in my life in 1969 when he first interviewed me for a new store sales position in Sale for the new Kelly Bros store. Gordon saw above that to hire me as his manager at 24 years of age. That opportunity took myself to go further and employ hundreds of great staff in all walks of life there are too many reasons to mention today.

August 16, 2026Thank you, John Hallam. Understood. We recall you as St Paul’s best First XVIII footballer in 1969. And as the backbone of many a SHFC side.
August 17, 2026Wayne Bond, Dad read people well. Yourself included. He saw your character, talent and potential. Your age was irrelevant. He loved you as a man. And he admired your demonstrated ability to run a business. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
