As a Northerner myself, I first met Theresa at St. Michael’s School when our five year old children started in prep. The years have flown since then but it was the start of a life-long friendship.
You’ve only slipped away to make some tea that we’ll drink from your shamrock cups (made in Ireland as you reminded me) and share memories, laughter, jokes and the joys and complexities of life and love.
I’ll hear the lilt in your voice and laughter forever. Rest in peace Theresa, love, Mary.My sincere condolences to Brian, Shaun, Sharon and Brian James. I first met Theresa when she volunteered her time to help at the St Paul’s Campus Canteen along with Shirley Bridges. I have very fond memories of those days gone by. A beautiful lady now resting. 🌹 🌹🌹❤️

You have left behind so many memories and wonderful times that we may call upon in our times of need and to help keep us strong. Theresa, you are now at peace, and I know will be watching over each and every loved one with so much love, huge smiles and your Irish pride.

October 15, 2024Mum, it’s so hard to put into words what you meant to us all.
You raised me to be strong and caring, to have a sense of humour, and to always be able to laugh at myself first. All of which I have continued to teach my own kids.
The quick wit and stubbornness just passed on naturally I think. You are leaving me with a lifetime of happy memories.
From toddler-me trading my sandwich for your much better looking lunch, the endless riddles and brain games we did to keep our minds active and working, the card games and board games we always played, of which you then continued to play with my kids too.Unfortunately our days together grew shorter than we would have liked, but your job here was complete.
You took a leap of faith in a young Aussie fella, and 50 years later had ended up conquering the world amongst 3 children and 9 grandchildren.May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.I Love you Mum and will miss you.

We will miss your stories at work… Fly High Theresa..Dear mum,
It’s hard to fathom that you’re gone, and I miss you so dearly.
You were an extraordinary person and a devoted mum. You always made sure you were there for every sports match and training session, every music performance and rehearsal, and every meaningful event in my life. You have played a huge role in shaping the person I am.
I loved the different and special bond we had in my adult years too. I enjoyed our moments just catching up on recent events and stories, and could always go to you for advice or support.
I am very grateful we got to enjoy one last trip away together when you and dad came with me to Phuket last year. The look on your face as you saw the sights and sounds of Bangla Rd, and the enjoyment you had singing and dancing with the locals in the “Thairish” Bar.
While I wish we could have had more time, I am somewhat comforted that you are now at peace. I will forever cherish the memories we had together, and I hope that over time they will help to ease my sadness.
Thank you mum for everything. Love you mum, always and forever, Shaun xoxo.

October 22, 2024Theresa was a wonderful lady, intelligent and with a brilliant sense of humour. I was lucky to have spoken to both Theresa and Brian on their trip to Killyleagh a few weeks ago. Although Theresa was in poor health her wit was razor sharp. The bond between Theresa and Brian was clear to see, as if they were newly weds. My wife and myself watched the funeral online last night and it was magnificent. The readers were all brilliant and it was a lovely celebration of her life.
Rose and John Greene, Killyleagh. County Down.
