I can’t express how sad i am for you all my friend.

Uncle Roger was a loved husband, father, and family man.
He will always be known as a die-hard Carlton supporter. Whether it was the excitement of match day or the pride he carried for his team, his passion was unmistakable—and it was part of what made him uniquely Roger.

Uncle Roger leaves behind his loving wife, Aunty Betty, and their children my cousins Michael, Sue, and Angela—along with their families.

Uncle Roger, thank you for everything. Rest peacefully—you are loved, you will be remembered.

Your family was your life and it was what made you so happy. Your grandchildren and great grandchildren were your pride and joy and it was great seeing the happiness they brought to yours and mum’s lives.
I’m so glad Carlton had a win for you on Saturday. I’m going to miss getting the footy and thumbs up emoji texts after they’d had a win.
It’s going to take awhile for it to sink in that you’re no longer with us but I know how hard it was for you in the end and glad that you will be resting in peace back in Yallourn where it all started for you.

Dear Dad

How do I fit a lifetime of memories into a few lines. Well for starters you absolutely loved Mum and always have and then having us kids just completed your happiness. Although I at times thought that the Carlton Football Club may have come before us except when they weren’t playing so well. Your other love was fishing, and that’s when you were really happy, especially catching that huge snapper. Then the grandchildren come along and you couldn’t be happier, your family was growing. Unfortunately your battle with cancer started to take away your enthusiasm for life and seeing you suffering and not being able to do the things you loved was heartbreaking.
