Dad, to say I’m going to miss you is an understatement. Our funny times will be remembered fondly. Through life’s highs and lows, you have always been there, which I appreciate and always told you and Mum. The last few years, I had to be there more than ever to look after both you and Mum. You always thanked me and told me how much you loved Tianah and I for doing so. Right now I cannot comprehend missing you yet, but I will forever love our beautiful memories and hold them so close to my heart always. ‘No icecream today Darling’ Love you, your last words to me. Love you Dad-always,  Fiona

Dad, I was fortunate to have so much time with you. I will treasure all the memories and they will stay with me forever. I love you and will miss you, Ray

  2. The loss of Piet can be felt in the distant Netherlands. We will miss the pleasant conversations we had with Piet via Skype and Facetime. Recently, Piet and Rina called almost daily. The language that Piet and Rina spoke was always Frisian. Often that I also spoke with Piet. He was always cheerful. I will miss him.

  8. For some reason I decided to look up Peter and Joan to send them a Christmas card this year. I was so sad to learn of Peter‘s passing not very long ago. I met Peter and Joan while cycling through Australia in 1997 and ended up staying with them after meeting them at a café. They were so warm and welcoming and when Peter and I learned we were both From Friesland and that my great aunt was his school teacher, the bond was sealed. May you all find peace and comfort knowing he lived well. Laughter was truly his medicine.
