DOUMA – Johanna Frederika (née Goris)

Born on January 3, 1941. Passed away February 6, 2021.

Passed away peacefully at Royal Freemasons Aged Care Moe on February 6th 2021,

Aged 80 years.

Dearly loved and loving wife Pieter (Dec) for 57 years.

Much loved Mother and mother-in-law of Ray and Nancy, Fiona, and Paul (dec).

Adored   Oma to Brendan and Tori, Lauren and Ben, Renee and Tianah.

 

My beautiful Mum

Such wonderful memories I will hold close forever

Especially your sense of humour and wit.

I’m sure family and friends will have lots of those moments too.

Rest now mum

Even though your story has ended, We will all be able to share so many moments of fun, love and laughter of time spent with you.

Love you so much and my journey in life without you, will be harder than I imagined.

Funeral Notice
Moe Presbyterian Church 34 Fowler Street, Moe
The Funeral Service for Mrs Johanna Douma will be held at the Moe Presbyterian Church, Fowler Street Moe on Monday March 1st 2021 at 11.am
The funeral will leave at the conclusion of the service for the Moe Cemetery.

    You were the very first family we met when we arrived to moe.
    You opened your doors so freely to me . You were so loving , caring and friendly just like a mum should be.
    Even though I am so far far away, you managed to come see me.
    Your family has and will always be close to my heart forever.

  9. Aunty Joan will always be remembered in my mind as part of those exciting holidays when we would fly over from NZ to visit the family. I remembered the delicatessen she and Uncle Peter owned, the Dutch liquorice. I remembered BBQs and nice cakes. I remembered Oma’s overgrown garden. For a small boy it was an exciting time! And for so many of the family to be in Moe, it will always be remembered as a special place for me. In later years, when Paul tragically passed away, Aunty Joan would say to me, Paul was almost the same age as you. I felt her sadness.

    Farewell Aunty Joan, Rest In Peace. My deepest condolences to Ray and Fiona and families. Lots of love from us all in Sydney. Rob, Leanne and the kids.
