George’s stories of our first overseas trip in the early eighties will live on.
Rest in peace mate.George, our memories will always be of that young bloke who worked in Hall’s Hardware in Moe in the early days! You were such a gentle and nice person that it’s so unfair for life to have been so cruel to you and your family! To us you’ll always remain forever young!

December 10, 2024George, unsurprisingly you have been an inspiration in mine and Dianne’s lives. You were always there to talk to and we shared many stories around the campfire, in a pub or wherever we got together around Australia. You and Michelle shared a love for travel as we did and your search for the new beginning for you both never strayed from the conversation. Always on the search for something new but never at the expense of your beautiful kids and grandkids, these guys always grounded you and brought you home. Always great banter when Carlton played Collingwood but you were also the first to acknowledge the better team on the day. The World is a poorer place for the loss of your existence. We are not religious people but we believe there is a seat at the Asgards table for when we meet again. In tears as we write this because we are still in disbelief that we have lost you. Love you mate, Michelle will never be alone…
December 10, 2024Michele, Emma, Jack, Toni, Lyn and families, our sincerest condolences for your loss. A lifetime friend of Weed Alan(Weed) and Janine Davies

Love Mick (Dec) Effie , Peter & Manny Gelagotis & Family xxxxPete and I were fortunate to meet George and Michele nearly 10 years ago as a result of our son Sam meeting Emma. Straight away we had a wonderful connection with our interest in sport , travelling and just the easy going nature of the Dodericos. Then along came Ivy and Indie, Danny and Ollie. Such proud grandparents. We were then all lucky enough to spend a wonderful weekend together for Emma and Sam’s wedding. To the beautiful Michele , Emma Jack and Toni we are so lucky to have come together and been part of your lives and will continue to be. We will all look after each other for you George love The Bakers xxx

December 13, 2024Our heartfelt condolences to Michele, Emma, Jack and Toni. What can you say at this very sad time, we are still in shock at Georges passing. I was only speaking to him the day before and as usual he was full of life and talking about the future. We had been planning to meet up in our caravans at Stuart Point in July next year. I have known George for about 40 yrs through the racing industry. You could not find a nicer more genuine person. Michelle and his kids Emma Jack and Toni were his life, He was also a very proud grandfather. One of our treasured memories of George was a holiday we took together to Cairnes, we had a great time (especially the card nights). He leaves a hole in our hearts and our lives, you will be sadly missed George.
