Our wonderful Aunty Eil …What a lovely, strong and accomplished woman, mother, grand mother and great grandmother. A great cook, gardener (and lawn mower for many years!)
Her ginger fluff cake was legendary. Eileen and our Mum Mary were best friends, not just sisters.

Our dear Aunty Eil, Mum and her were so very close, yet so very different in many ways. I cherish the memories I have of the stories Mum would tell me about her cheeky sister and how Aunty Eil would laughingly tell me what a goody goody two shoes my Mum was. Being a beer drinker myself, I loved that she loved a beer too (back in the day). Mum used to tell me that I reminded her of her mischievous sister and I’ll take that as a huge compliment!!!! Farewell and may you RIP with love from your niece Jo. Xxx

Eileen, It was wonderful to meet up with you 5 years ago after many years of only hearing of you through my mother. I remember my first visit back to Traralgon. When we stopped the car out the front of your house I could see you standing in the doorway at the front of your house. You welcomed me warmly. We talked lots. So much to talk about. My second visit you shared your home with us. Such a lovely warm and caring stay with you. We talked vonstantly.. So much to catch up on. Our phones calls were always long. No Subject was off limits. Very pleased we had the time to reconnect. Will remember you always for being so caring, open, welcoming, warm and opening your home to us. Love Rickie and Peter xx
