  6. Graham Cranwell, a true champion of the Hazelwood / Churchill Football Netball Club and one of its greatest players. He holds the record for the most senior goals kicked and, during a career that spanned 16 years, he played 220 senior games for the club.
    Graham came from a long line of footy players. His grandfather Albert played for the club in the final years of the 19th century, and Graham’s father Ken and brother David also donned the maroon guernsey. For several years, Ken was the club treasurer.
    Graham is considered the clubs greatest full-forward. His long and accurate kicking is legendary. The highlights of his career are undoubtedly the 1965-66 back to back senior premierships. He also treasured the 1958 and 1968 reserves premierships.
    Graham won the Mid Gippsland Football League goalkicking in 1965, 1966, 1967 and was runner-up in 1969. Over 17 seasons he amassed 565 goals for the seniors.
    In 1970 Graham was made a Life Member

    Condolences to the family.

  9. Rest In Peace, Graham. I enjoyed your big hearty waves as we always drive by your house and always saw you out and about.

    You had a great manner. Who can ever forget your toast at Peter and Heather’s 50th anniversary party? It was a cracker.

    Albert and Norma are saddened they aren’t able to attend the funeral because of restrictions. If there is any room for them, I hope they can contact me.

    They would really like to come and pay their respects.

    I hope you’re fitting into your new wings quite nicely. {{{hugs}}}
