Ernie passed away peacefully at Latrobe Regional Health on 11/01/2026.

Aged 86.

Loving husband of Sybil (dec.) for 64 years.

Loving father and father-in-law to Sandra and Mark, Pauline and Chris.

Grandfather to Steven and Donna, Alan (dec), Alison, Jessica (dec), Ben and Elena.

Great-grandfather to Jemma, William, Isabella, Ryan, Tyson, Hayden, Shayla and Cynthia.

 

                                 Reunited with his beloved Sybil.

  2. Don’t remember me with sadness, don’t remember me with tears, remember all the laughter, we’ve shared throughout the years.

    Now I am contented that my life was worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

    When you are walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind, I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

    So please don’t be unhappy just because I’m out of sight, remember that I’m with you each morning, noon and night.

  3. remember you Ernie when I walked through the gates of Morwell River on my first day 1November 1976. You taught me so much about the job. This held me in good stead when I transferred to Pentridge. Sincere condolences to your family and friends. RIP

  7. My condolences to the family, Ernie was a lovely man to clean for, I enjoyed having a chat with him and learning about his life. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his lovely wife Sybil.
