my heartfelt condolences, Rita. Your Mum was so loved by our family, my Mum and Joan long time friends. I remember their love of gardening and knitting, crochet, morning teas and good company. Joan was a beautiful and kind hearted lady, a great listener, she was genuine. She was a good human, an awesome mother and an incredible Mum and grandmother. Reunited with Lucy who we all miss so much, rest now Joan, I hope you have found your way to paradise. Take care dear Rita, big hugs to you and your family and to Rebecca xx

Joan , I have many fond memories. I was thinking today how long have my siblings and I known you . You have always been in my our life , so I’m guessing my whole life . You would always call in for coffee on your way home from the shops , many times a week .
I’m so happy I had the privilege of visiting you just 4 weeks ago . As soon as I walked in your room you called my name “Jackie” you were so happy to see me , and me you . You greeted me with the longest hug . We sat and talked , had a cuppa. You were in so much pain but so happy I came to see you . We gave each other the biggest hug goodbye and I kissed you on the cheek crying , as I knew when I walked out your door I would never see you again. As I walk out of your room I turned and looked back at you, and you gave me that big beautiful Joan smile . Rest in peace Joan .

Sending much love to Gerhard, Rita and family for your loss. Ohhh boy do I have soooo many childhood memories. Lucy and I were friends from kindergarten all the way through high school. Your house was like my second home. Walking through the carport to the back of the house and coming in the back door to pick Lucy and Rita up to head to school and always being met with your smiling face and asking if I wanted a cup of tea. Sitting up many Saturday nights watching old Vincent Price movies and eating lollygobbleblissbombs or watching you crocheting a rug. So many sleepovers and you always made me feel welcome. You will be very sadly missed by your family and many friends. Your passing has really rocked me but I have wonderful memories to cherish. Reunited with Lucy – give her a hug from me. RIP Joan xx

Some of my favourite childhood memories are from when I would stay over on school holidays and Nan would take me down to have lunch in Moe, eating jam biscuits at bingo and being taught to cook the most delicious roast dinners (all home made!) helping Nan get the veggies from the garden, drinking cups of tea and reading magazines.
I know that you are in peace side by side with Lucy and your sister Constance.

Had some great memories coming to visit you and pop. running around in your back yard with Barney the Jack Russel running a muck, playing in your garden and teaching me to cook.
You always cut my sandwiches into triangles just how I loved them. Thanks for the memories Nan may you rest in peace xxx
