O’BRIEN, Ebony Jade
19/11/1998 – 04/07/2026
Our beautiful Ebony passed away peacefully at Monash Clayton Hospital on 4 July 2026, aged 27 years.
Precious daughter of Tamara O’Brien (dec.), beloved sister of Liam O’Brien, cherished granddaughter of Lorraine Kenny, and adored niece of Deanne & Graeme Kennedy.
“Some people leave footprints on our hearts. Ebony left laughter, sunshine and just the right amount of cheekiness wherever she went. With her mischievous smile, happy heart and a spirit too big for words, she reminded us to find joy in life’s simplest moments. Though she is now at peace, her laughter will echo in our hearts forever, and her beautiful light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.”
As your Nanny would always say, “Are you my sweetheart or my darling?” You’ll always be both, our precious girl. Our hearts will be broken forever. We love you, our little princess. Fly high now our beautiful girl, and rest peacefully in the loving arms of your mum once more.
Together again, forever.

Amanda. My heart is broken at this news. Dearest Eb, I thank you for making such a difference to my life. You were simply the best! You were so cheeky, ‘naughty’ and so full of laughter, love and light. My time caring for you has given me memories that I will cherish forever. You brought pure joy to anyone you met. I loved crossing the road at the green man! Your arms would be waving madly at the parked cars, whilst you were squealing with delight. Then op shopping with you, we had so much fun! You loved trying on the jewellery and the sunglasses and looking at the teddies. Not to mention, the chemist where you just had to have another teddy to warm in the microwave, despite your room being inundated with them. Your spirit was undeniable as was your perspective to life. You battled such illness with courage, bravery and acceptance. You bought such perspective to living each moment of each day to the fullest. You even had me singing the Wiggles! And our trips to Maccas were the best! You’d drop your hashbrowns on the car floor, soon to be followed with a ‘sxxt! fxxk!’ You simply lit up my life. I hope you’re up there, somewhere, reminding others not to enter your ‘space bubble!’ Thank you beautiful Eb, for the memories, for the times we shared together. Love always, Alison xx

Thoughts are with you Deanne and Family at this time xoxoOur Beautiful Ebony.
To many, you were Ebby. To family, you were their Princess, and to the lucky few who knew, you were my Bubba—but that was our special little secret.
July 9, 2026
You filled our hearts with your favourite words: “Fantastical!” “Wonderful!” “Drive” “DVD ” “Cook It” and, of course, “Chocolate” usually followed by the words “Shh Secret”!
Life’s greatest joys for you were simple, a ride in the car, your beloved Wiggles Birthday DVD, your DVD player, and of course your Cook It’s, Pos and Dragon being your clear favorites.
But your greatest love was always your people: Nanny, Aunty Dee, Graeme Liam, Jared, Emma & sometimes me Becca . The love you gave us, and the love we shared with you, will stay with us forever.
Conway was your home, where so many precious memories were made, and where your smile brought warmth to everyone around you.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in imagining you at peace, surrounded by love, with your favourite DVD playing, A “Cook it” stinking out the microwave and your cheeky laughter filling the air.
You will always be our Ebby, our Princess, my Bubba.
Rest easy now beautiful and fly like an Angel with Mummy.
Love you BeccaOn behalf of the Gippsland Groovers Club management team—myself, Janice Robyn, and Erica—we are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of ebony O’Brien. Our members are very saddened, and a number of former clients, including Jessica C, reached out to let me know. Evney was a cherished member of the gippy Groovers Club, a very special young lady, just 27 years old. She was supported by Daly Living Disability Services, and after their transition to iCare, she continued to be supported by her private staff member, Kyile, who used to work with Daily Living. I knew her very well, and I am deeply saddened. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends who are also grieving this loss. We would also like to acknowledge and thank Kyle for her support of ebony during this time. One of our management team members will be attending, but I will be watching the livestream on behalf of the management team.”
