May you now rest in perfect peace. Elaine quirkVera and I worked at the Baptist Kindergarten in McDonald Street in the 1970s. I used to go to Golden Hill with them to the dances on a Saturday night. I didn’t have a partner so the three of us danced together. Wonderful memories. Love to the family. RIP Vera
March 14, 2026The loss of Vera is felt deeply across Heritage Manor. She had a presence that was impossible to miss — almost an unofficial mascot, always appearing just when you least expected it, bringing a sense of warmth and familiarity to the place. Because she was such a constant part of daily life, it’s hard to believe she won’t be wandering through the halls anymore. Even though she lived a long and well‑loved life, her passing still comes as a shock to all of us.
Her absence leaves a real emptiness, and our thoughts are with Vera’s family as they navigate this loss. She brought comfort, companionship, and a quiet kind of joy to so many people here, and she will be remembered with genuine affection.
