November 5, 2025A true gentleman, RIP Lyle. 💐
November 5, 2025rest in peace lyle, i will forever remember how you cared for me and my siblings as children and were always up for a chat with my family and i. You were a kind soul, i hope in the afterlife your garden flourishes and is just like the one in this world.
November 5, 2025Lyle, a gentleman & carer of many. Quietly spoken, quietly tending to your garden & to your church garden. For many many years, you were the ‘newspaper delivery person’ to the elderly in your street, of both the Herald Sun & the Express and often even the mail and a grocery or two. Thankyou for your advice and guidance for our mum when she decided to become a post mistress in Yinnar. You were a kind person, always having time for a chat. Rest peacefully Lyle.
November 6, 2025Goodbye Lyle. Enjoyed our chats over a beer.
November 6, 2025Dear Lyle, you were such an asset to so many people and quietly went about your duties without fuss or fanfare. I remember how you befriended my late husband, Barry, and he enjoyed your company as you appeared to enjoy his. Both of you had fun picking winners at the Moe Cup along with Audrey, with me trailing along and those days were very special. Rest in peace my friend. Love from Elaine Quirk
November 6, 2025Dear Lyle. Thankyou for your friendship and for your life of service, both in business and in St Mary’s Church. Both Barry and I fondly remember the times spent together at the Moe Cup and hope you and he get to enjoy studying the form together again. RIP Lyle
November 6, 2025RIP Lyle, after a life of service both in business and St Mary’s Church. Your dedication to your duties was of the highest standard, always. Rest after living a full life, my friend. Elaine Quirk
November 6, 2025It was a privilege to be your neighbour for so many years Lyle. You were always so kind and generous to our family,. The only downside to living next door to you was that our nature strip always looked bad next to yours!
November 6, 2025Lyle was the man that employed me at Australia Post, a very caring boss, loved to share with us the produce from his garden.
November 6, 2025
Always spoilt us in summer with ice creams.
A very lovely man. RIP Lyle
Debbie Radford.Lyle was such a gentleman and a beautiful man. He would come into the Morwell club for a meal. He was always so polite and would love to have a chat. He was one of a kind. If only more customers were like him. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family.
November 8, 2025Just heard of Mr Hops death. He interviewed me for my first job at age 18, at Morwell post office. He came to our wedding, and we have been pen pals ever since. A lovely kind gentleman. Will miss him.
