We are deeply saddened by the passing of Arthur, a truly cherished member of our community. Arthur was the embodiment of kindness and courtesy—a true gentleman in every sense. His warmth and genuine care for others touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Arthur had a remarkable way of making people feel seen and appreciated. He was endlessly complimentary, always finding something positive to say about everything we did. His joy for life was infectious, and his presence brought light and laughter wherever he went.
My husband will especially miss Arthur’s weekly handwritten riddles—clever, whimsical puzzles that he could never quite solve, but always looked forward to. They were a testament to Arthur’s playful spirit and thoughtful nature.
Arthur’s absence leaves a quiet space in our hearts, but his memory will continue to inspire kindness, curiosity, and joy. He will be missed more than words can express.

I remember viewing Arthur &Glenys leaving the church the day they were married and have stayed in touch ever since. Arthur was a very happy, warm, down to earth man and will be greatly missed by the Funstan clan.

Arthur and I go back to teenagers growing up in Morwell. So many memories to recall over the years.
Arthur was always a true gentleman with a quick humour.
Arthur was groomsman for Mavis and my wedding..
So many memories of Cowes, Inverloch and Morwell.
So sorry we are unable to celebrate your wonderful life today.
