I worked with Brian for the latter part of the 1970s and all of the 1980s.
We had a good working relationship and I respected him greatly.
I think I still have some of his poems. As was his father, old Fred Gregory, before him, Brian was also a very dedicated and committed local community member! His sports and music store being so well known to all local sports people was second to none and his generosity to numerous sports clubs made him a loved and valuable asset to the town! He was one of the best and will be sorely missed! Sincerest sympathies to all Brian’s loved ones and may he now rest peacefully! xx💔🍷

September 10, 2025Brian was a much-loved former member of the Latrobe Community Concert Band. We will always remember him fondly for the beautiful way he played his flute, bringing warmth and joy to our music. Beyond the band, his shop was a treasure to so many of us—always stocked with music essentials, no matter how rare or obscure. Brian’s generosity, kindness, and love of music touched us all, and his memory will remain with us.

Brian was like an older brother, whom I lived next door to in View St back in the 1940s, and have kept in touch with all through the years.
He was a kind, gentle man and always good to catch up with. RIP Brian.A gentleman and a scholar. Visits to Brian’s store were special. He loved his sport and music. Brian often sang a song accompanied by his ukulele. Sadly missed. Joan Mullen.
